Cancellations & Returns

At Essence Edit, every order is carefully checked before dispatch so that you receive exactly what you purchased. Because our catalogue consists largely of premium, limited and sourced-to-order items, we operate an exchange-first policy. Refunds are offered only in the specific situations described below and are never automatic — each request is reviewed individually.

An exchange or refund request is only considered valid once it has been raised through our official support channel within the eligibility window and accompanied by the required proof.

In this policy, the following words carry the meaning set out against them:

• "We", "us", "our" means Metacircles Technologies Private Limited, operating the Essence Edit store at essenceedit.com.
• "You", "customer" means the person who places an order on the store.
• "Order" means a confirmed purchase for which payment (full or partial) has been received.
• "Exchange" means replacement of a delivered item with a different size, or with a comparable item where the original is unavailable.
• "Return window" means the period within which an exchange request must be raised.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

An item may be considered for exchange only when all of the following conditions are met:

• The request is raised within 3 days of the delivery date.
• The product is unused, unworn, unwashed and in its original resalable condition.
• All original tags, brand packaging, dust bags, authenticity cards, invoices and free accessories are intact.
• The reason relates to a sizing issue, or a verified defect, damage in transit, or a wrong item being delivered.

Exchange is subject to stock availability at the time the request is approved.

The following are not eligible for exchange or refund:

• Items marked as Final Sale, clearance or non-returnable on the product page.
• Products that have been used, worn, altered, washed or damaged after delivery.
• Items returned without original tags, packaging or accessories.
• Innerwear, socks, fragrances, personal-care and other hygiene-sensitive items.
• Requests raised after the eligibility window has closed.
• Free gifts, promotional add-ons and gift cards.

Where an exchange is approved:

• A reverse-pickup and reshipment charge may apply and will be communicated before the exchange is processed.
• If the replacement item has a higher price, you must pay the difference before dispatch.
• If the replacement item has a lower price, the difference is issued as store credit, not cash, unless required otherwise by law.

1. Email info@essenceedit.com within 3 days of delivery with your order number, the item concerned, the reason, and clear photographs (mandatory for damage/wrong-item claims).
2. Our team reviews the request and confirms eligibility, usually within 2 business days.
3. Once approved, we arrange a reverse pickup or share a return address.
4. The returned item is inspected on receipt for condition and authenticity.
5. On successful inspection, the replacement is dispatched or store credit / refund is initiated as applicable.

To ensure a smooth process you agree to:

• Inspect the package at the time of delivery and report visible damage immediately.
• Preserve the product in its original condition until the request is resolved.
• Provide accurate order information and genuine supporting evidence.
• Pack the item securely for return so it is not damaged in transit.

Failure to meet these obligations may result in the request being declined.

Essence Edit reserves the right to decline any request that does not meet the eligibility criteria, or where misuse, tampering or fraudulent intent is suspected. The decision of our review team, taken reasonably and in good faith, is final. In no case will a refund exceed the amount actually paid for the item.

• Request review: up to 2 business days from receipt.
• Reverse pickup: typically 3–7 business days depending on your location.
• Quality inspection: 1–2 business days after the item reaches us.
• Approved refunds: credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional time to reflect it.

If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you may escalate your concern to our grievance team at info@essenceedit.com, quoting your order number. We aim to acknowledge escalations within 48 hours and resolve them within a reasonable timeframe in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable rules.

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Gurugram, Haryana.

Essence Edit may update, modify or replace any part of this policy at any time without prior individual notice. The version published on essenceedit.com at the time you place an order governs that order. Please review this page periodically.
